Duck Daze Drop-In Booth

The kickoff to the summer season is our signature event: Duck Daze! Duck Daze, always the first Saturday in June, kicks off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 7 with the popular Duck Daze Parade. Be sure to secure your spot along the parade route, which starts at the corner of 29th Street and Bridgeport Way and continues south to 37th Street Court West, where it turns left, passes in front of Homestead Park and ends at Drexler Drive. Parade-goers will want to take note of the new route, which has the parade in the southbound lanes to 35th Street, then moves to the northbound lanes, passing directly in front of Market Square on its way to 37th Street Court West. Additionally, this year, in an effort to improve spectators' safety and viewing, candy will be thrown only by walking parade participants. No candy will be thrown from vehicles. The festivities will continue at the Village at Chambers Bay where more fun awaits, including food trucks, music and scores of children’s attractions, stilt walkers, face painting, games and popular costumed characters. Returning favorites like Duck Rogers, The Clan Gordon Pipe Band, and Joel Gibson Jr. will be there, plus a bigger-than-ever South Sound Makers Market, live reptiles in the Civic Building Atrium and more. West Pierce Fire & Rescue Station #31 will host an Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with free hot dogs, refreshments and close-up looks at their equipment. The Pierce County Sheriff's Department and U.P. Police Department will join the display at the Fire Station.
